On Saturday, October 27, Gina Elise, Founder of nonprofit, "Pin-Ups For Vets", continued her 7-year mission to boost morale in the hospital wards across the U.S. by making over 100 personal bedside visits to the hospitalized Veterans at the Los Angeles VA Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA.

Gina Elise was accompanied by LT. Col Arnold Strong of the US Army Reserves. The Halau Hula O 'Imi 'Ike Hula Troupe of Culver City, who also accompanied Gina Elise into the hospital, did a special dance performance for the hospitalized Veterans.  Lt. Col Strong and the hula ladies helped distribute the surprise appreciation gifts, donated by the nonprofit organization's supporters, for the Veterans.

In order to make sure that there were enough gifts for each Veteran, Gina Elise put out a call to her supporters across the globe to help her "Make A Difference" on this national day of volunteering. The supporters came through with flying colors by answering the call to donate appreciation gifts to the hospitalized Veterans. Elise and her volunteers distributed the popular 2013 "Pin-Ups For Vets" calendars featuring celebrities doing their best 1940-style pin-up poses, and the volunteers also distributed "Kiss-A-Vet" T-shirts and decks of cards. The Veterans all were grinning from ear-to-ear from the surprise visit, the special hula dance performance, and the gifts of appreciation that were donated by the "Pin-Ups For Vets" supporters.

"Mission accomplished!" said Pin-Up-In-Chief Gina Elise who took pride in boosting morale for more of our Nation's heroes on her 50-state VA Hospital Tour. "I was able to put more smiles on the faces of our hospitalized Veterans with the help of our beautiful hula ladies: Cheryl Kapuaokala Mallare, Hilary Carreon, Marinel Mallare Hirota, Angie Chupek Sagliani and Jill Ruiz Carreon. And we were especially thrilled to have Lt. Col Arnold Strong join us on our mission to boost morale and show appreciation to our Veterans. We know we have "made a difference" today in the lives of these men and women who have stepped up to serve our country. We all need to appreciate their brave service," said Elise.
