So, my publicist (cha-ching) and I have not spoken in weeks. All comm has been via e-mail.

But we have been busy, further proof that most in the writing industry work every day. He and his people spent New Year’s Eve Tweeting on the “Blood Stripe” Kindle promo. The e-book is free on Amazon’s Kindle Jan 1-5.

It is an interesting promo tool.

So it is 1 pm Jan. 1. Have been working for a few hours. In four hours 950 “Blood Stripe” copies are gone. It seems to be a hot commodity. Or is it  going to e-hoarder? With an NPR interview Monday and another radio gig Tuesday, we’ll see.

“Blood Stripe” has been quite the journey. Though I loved “Black Panthers,” I had no promotional support from the publisher. This is c0mmon in an industry working on thin margins. I just wish I had known. My efforts came too late and fell flat, in my opinion. We soon will do the re-release of the 761st book. Paperback. New title. New promo ideas. More on that as we get closer. New cover approved yesterday.

BS coverBlack Panthers, which was really the most difficult part. Working the two books while editing Iraq? It is eight days a week, and I would not have it any other way.
