HYDROSPORT INTRODUCES NEW HYDRATION PRODUCTS FOR KIDS !!

Los Angeles, CA – As the weather gets warmer, kids head outside to play, and that can spell trouble if they don't drink enough water.

HydroSport has come up with a simple solution with new swiggies, wrist water bottles for kids. Like the adult version, swiggies attach to your wrists for convenient hands-free hydration. The kid's version holds 8 ounces of water and comes in six bright, kid-friendly colors.

And since 60 million plastic water bottles are thrown away every day in the U.S., with only a fraction of them being recycled, swiggies is a great "green" alternative. They are BPA-free, FDA food grade safe and one of the easiest to recycle.

Dehydration occurs when the body loses water content and essential body salts. That's why a good electrolyte drink is so important. Kids are more susceptible to dehydration than adults, and the effects are more serious. Studies show that kids will only drink about 50% of the water they need unless it's flavored, and then they will drink 90%.

HydroSport has created an all natural, sugar-free electrolyte drink mix called swiggie stix that is pre-measured for the swiggies bottles.

"With swiggies, parents and coaches don't need to remind kids to drink water, it's right there on their wrists", says Tom Root, president of HOPSports, a national after-school fitness program for kids.

Dehydration places kids at risk for serious conditions, like heat exhaustion and heat stroke, which can be life threatening if left untreated. But dehydration is completely preventable as long as kids drink enough of the right kinds of fluids.

Swiggies have a suggested retail price of $12.95 a set.
