Couscous Collective Store Launches with Skin Horse Volume 1

SAN FRANCISCO, CA September 23, 2009 – The Couscous Collective, a San Francisco Bay Area-based cartoonist collective, has launched an online store featuring comics, graphic novels, original art and merchandise featuring solo and collaborative projects from the eight-member group.

Exclusive merchandise and content are now available at the Collective's website: http://www.couscous.2dcomics.com/store

"Now you can live anywhere and get copies of Couscous goodies," says Pancha Diaz, cartoonist and group webmaster. "Geography will no longer thwart us."

The first new title offered exclusively through the Couscous Store is Skin Horse Volume 1, by award-winning cartoonist Shaenon K. Garrity and her co-writer Jeffrey C. Wells. Skin Horse follows the staff of Project Skin Horse, a secret government organization dedicated to the protection of America's nonhuman citizens. Volume 1 collects the first year of the popular, award-winning daily online comic strip.

Several other Couscous members also have graphic novels in the works. The group plans to expand the site with online galleries and additional merchandise.
