Never Too Young To Salute The Armed Forces

U.S. Veterans and active duty service members across the globe have found a 21st Century pin-up girl who wears her heart in the right place.

Gina Elise, Founder of and pin-up sweetheart in the award-winning nonprofit fundraiser calendar project, Pin-Ups For Vets, has a loyal following in the military community. Dubbed ?the calendar angel? and ?the Betty Grable of a new generation?, Gina Elise has spent the last six years honoring and supporting

America?s heroes, both in the hospital wards and in the combat zones.

To honor Military Appreciation Month, Gina Elise is making appearances at numerous events that honor U.S. troops and Veterans. She is a familiar face at So. California Air Shows, Military Vehicle Shows, Veterans parades, and special events to

honor America?s Troops and Veterans, where she sets up a table

to fundraise for VA Hospital programs across the U.S. To date, Elise has raised $50,000 for VA Hospitals by selling one Pin-Ups For Vets calendar at a time.

Recent appearances, in the month of May at various Military Appreciation events, provide Elise with opportunities to meet with and thank Veterans and Service Members. This month, Elise is making the rounds at The Chino Planes of Fame Air Show, the Armed Forces Day Event in the city of Torrance, and the Memorial Day Event to honor Veterans in the city of Arcadia.

Elise, who draws inspiration from the pin-up girls of the WWII era, can also be found posing near her fundraising table with event visitors who are drawn to her 1940?s pin-up girl look. ? I want to inspire others by providing a role model of a young person who

supports our Veterans and service members,? says Elise who began her hospitalized Veterans project just after graduating from UCLA. In establishing her nonprofit, Elise also pays honor to her grandfather?s Army service during WWII.

?I am thrilled to have an opportunity to meet and talk to young people at these events about how important it is to honor and support our Nation?s Veterans and military members who have stepped up to serve our Country.?

?One is never too young to pay honor to America?s Vets and service members,? says Elise who poses here in this photo with ?Airman? Aidan at the Chino Planes of Fame Air Show in Chino, California.
