Financial Literacy Month

Many of the money mistakes adults make are directly related to habits and beliefs created in early childhood. Children begin learning about money at home from the influential people in their lives right from the time they are toddlers. Modelling and learning from observation are two of the most powerful methods of learning in all young children. This is exactly why Nancy Phillips, mother of two and founder of DollarSmartKids Enterprises Inc., has created an audio program to help parents teach their children the most important financial life skills.

Several years ago Phillips set out to learn exactly what to teach her young children about financial and life success skills relative to our rapidly changing world. She couldn't find what she was looking for. That led to a period of extensive research to find the international "best practices" that she could boil down and share in a fun way with her own children.
