West Hollywood CA - January 13, 2015 - Freelance Journalist Scott S. Smith says there is an illegal version of his book God Reconsidered: Searching for Truth in the Debate Between Atheism and Religion that has been posted as an ebook on Amazon and other sites.

"I signed a contract almost a year ago with Blue Star Books and only afterwards learned that they have ripped off other writers. I tried to work with them, but after 8 months of nothing happening and months not even receiving excuses, I discovered its Santa Cruz CA offices had its phone disconnected. I sent a registered letter and email terminating the contract. Today, to my shock, I received a notice from Dan Haldeman that he had posted my book: this was after absolutely no communication for months and after receiving multiple notices of termination. I want to alert the publishing industry if this scam artist and ask that online sellers not feature the book until the legal dispute is resolved. I would ask consumers interested in the subject of the book to wait for the authorized edition which is in preparation."
