Bridgit Antoinette Evans

Award-winning actor, producer and human rights activist Bridgit Antoinette Evans has been named to the advisory board of Shoe Revolt, a social enterprise that sells new and gently used shoes to fight human trafficking in the United States. "Shoe Revolt is a beautiful example of social enterprise at its best, melding a highly commercial concept -- our love of shoes -- with an equally compelling reason to buy them, says Evans. "Each purchase helps women and girls in recovery. That the company is survivor-led is a testament to the innovation, courage and passion that is unleashed when those who have been victimized and exploited are given the resources, love and support needed to heal, grow and thrive."

Based in New York City, Evans is the President and Founder of FuelChange.net, a creative studio that produces art and media collaborations between high profile artists and non-profit organizations. Through a portfolio of national and global projects, she has gained a reputation as the 'go-to girl' for artists interested in merging their creative and activist ideals.

Evans served as executive producer of the South African staging of Pulitzer Prize-winner Suzan-Lori Parks' VENUS, a project using theater to raise awareness of human trafficking and gender violence in Africa; Co-Executive Producer of 'This Is to Mother You', a charity song featuring Sinead O'Connor, Mary J Blige and child trafficking survivor Martha B; and creator/director of Live for Darfur, an anti-genocide campaign chaired by actor Don Cheadle. A passionate humanitarian, she has traveled by invitation to the UK, France, Croatia, Brazil, South Africa and across the United States to advocate on behalf of issues including human trafficking, genocide prevention, and the role of artists in society.

Through Shoe Revolt, all net profit realized is dedicated to fighting sex trafficking, with 100% of funds going to survivor shelters, educational scholarships and public advocacy. ShoeRevolt.com is an online shoe boutique that raises awareness of, inspires and empowers women to donate high-end shoes to eradicate human trafficking in the United States with every donated shoe sold.
