Award-winning actor, producer and human rights activist Bridgit Antoinette Evans has been named to the advisory board of Shoe Revolt, a social enterprise that sells new and gently used shoes to fight human trafficking in the United States. Evans served as executive producer of the South African staging of Pulitzer Prize-winner Suzan-Lori Parks' VENUS, a project using theater to raise awareness of human trafficking and gender violence in Africa; Co-Executive Producer of 'This Is to Mother You', a charity song featuring Sinead O'Connor, Mary J Blige and child trafficking survivor Martha B; and creator/director of Live for Darfur, an anti-genocide campaign chaired by actor Don Cheadle. A passionate humanitarian, she has traveled by invitation to the UK, France, Croatia, Brazil, South Africa and across the United States to advocate on behalf of issues including human trafficking, genocide prevention, and the role of artists in society.
