Use an ocean drum and feel the sound of where we came from and where we are going-keep the ocean in your heart

Abracadabra- Youtube and Matter of Trust…..show holistic resources that can pick up loose oil!

With a map on the web of the force and weight of gallons and gallons of oil threatening the shore and wrapping round the coast, the cost of the Gulf disaster is growing and growing.

At first, BP officials balked at the idea of natural hair booms.

Hairdressers round the county began sending hair to look for ways to clean up and protect natural resources, shore birds, and replaceable reefs, fisheries and nesting grounds.

EPA is cutting the tonnage of the dispersant chemicals being used by British Petroleum and asking that they use less toxic solutions.

It makes one wonder how to get the conversation of safety, ecology, collaboration, and timeliness back on the "table.".

The Ocean is our source of food, the blood of the blue planet, and the last pioneering area that we are using as a garbage can, is tragically now a scientific experiment. Quelle catastrophe… that a spill is showing us that we don't want to bioengineer yet without a deeply held value of reverence and a daily recognition for our role in caring for what we use and protecting future generations.

What do we have to learn? Do? Or reorder to make sure this never happens again?

What can we do that might just work? Investigate giving hair to blot up the hazardous crude. Learn to work together to clean birds, bag booms or listen when someone needs help. Whether you pick up the phone, make a donation or call and see where you can help. We have an option to be an antidote for the anger, the hypocrisy, and what seems now so heavy and obscene.

Look at the video…why not collect hair and try it? It doesn't poison the sea which we also rely on and it seems something positive that can bring us all together to learn how to be an important kind of American…one that knows how to ask questions, respond with kindness, build community and help when someone else asks.

Talking of a period Beyond Petroleum over the last 10 years, perhaps we are at that point now. Beyond a point where this kind of deep sea pumping and retrieval matters, and deeply into the mystery of how do we turn around this spill and begin recovery? Listen to Carolyn Casey, Raffensburg, and Lewis Hyde on TRICKSTER MAKES THIS WORLD AND THE GIFT, A shim shim rattle, Hermes, Mercury, Pentacost, Indian Giving, Communion,Raven, Nature, and the Great Mother Festival…..Dreams of flights of imagination and insight, powers of communion, gifts and tricksters discussing how to find resiliency.

Like the Magic Castle, the Matter of Trust.org is showing some magic….made out of simple steps.

They saw your hair clippings as a process of healing and helping. Empowering our power of communion and sharing as in Pentacost Sunday……"as if we can learn through divine principles to speak and understand all language". Maybe in the Visionary Activism image MofT as a nonprofit is teaching us like a trickster to understand the language of the sea in trouble and what we can do to respond.

As a player in heaven the show talks about "Sharing the gift by exchange of giving that is the listeners way of "petting an owl" and living in communion with the Ocean as our organ of love, inspiration, and exchange.

Calling on metaphoric dispersements from storytelling KPFK to give people footing in a greasy mess is a great way to find fun and nutritive radio that faces great danger and complete unpredictability.

The May 20th road talks about the BP gaff in terms of coping through intelligence with fables.

It also talks about contingencies with unknown circumstance by coming into communion at the Solstice in Marin, donating to Pacifica in San Francisco or Berkeley during their fund drive, coming out to Point Reyes to dance and celebrate or to the Great Mother Conference to learn about the trickster's role in finding solutions that can cope with our human circumstance and truly intuit where we can go with such dangerous moments and make a new world or find a gift in the impossible, the improbable and the crossroads.

They talk about boundaries, borders, thresholds and respect for nature….such as the blood brain barrier and keeping life safe. Protecting and stewarding the commons for future generations may be a great discussion for our country and for our understanding of this crisis and coping now and in the future.

Book Expo America is opening today with Barbra Streisand……the Malibu Colony to Florida's Gold Coast, the Mexican East Coast to Louisiana there will be books discussing this moment in our coastal cultures and about reconsidering oil, wealth, future generations, and folktales from Universities, bloggers, and broken "colonialism" of new lands. From Disney's Oceans to this show, from Economics to EPA, from Evolution to Mythology, publishing will frame issues for us to explore. Carolyn will work for us to discuss and find our place in the Greater Story.

The Law of the Sea Treaty talks about deep sea bed is our inheritance with limits on sovereignty. How funny that folktales can lead to discussions of inalienable rights and deep values, an evolutionary intelligence and an inviting in, through hair clippings, the intangibles of a trickster revolution. If you want to study consciousness like "Parabola Magazine" or like the Power of Now we will live it, watch it, or act for our common assets like a mythologically connected love story acting for the Ocean that once was our home and still our essential commons.

Radio, blogging, bookfairs, events are keeping the fires of community and driving business through gatherings, thinkings, and languaging…….what fun from ruminating on great ideas and looking for new stories… But that of course is the wonder of the storytellers way. Ja, Ja, Oja, Oya…..Robert Bly, David Whyte, Lewis Hyde, Clarisa Pinkola Estes, Rosalyn Bruyere, and Jungian Archetypes.
