The 11th annual WATER RESCUE TRAIN-THE-TRAINER ACADEMY, will be conducted May 12 - 15 in Portland, Maine. The purpose of this Academy is to train First Responders as Water Rescue Instructors, who upon successful completion of the Academy, will be authorized to conduct Water Rescue Awareness, Operations, and Technician level courses on behalf of their own departments.
The training is conducted by Lifesaving Resources, an internationally-recognized company located in Kennebunkport, Maine, that is dedicated to drowning and aquatic injury prevention and emergency management.
This intensive 3.5-day program includes over 30 contact instructional hours with practical venues conducted in swimming pools, rivers, and the ocean, including several classroom sessions.
Lifesaving Resources will be rolling out their newly revised curriculum, including a new Powerpoint/Keynote Presentation with multiple video and audioclips, a new Course Guidebook, and a new Instructor's SOP Manual.
