Dear Family & Friends,

LONE WOLF-ITIS. LONE WOLF-ISM. What is this bit about a murdering Jihadi Islamic Terrorist being a “Lone Wolf”?! These barbarians are never aLone! They are brain-washed & pre-programmed from infancy, nursery school, grade school & summer camp to HATE & KILL JEWS.

Within the Koran & the Muslim Hadith (oral laws) are multiple orders for “True Muslims” to pick up a knife, hatchet, machete, gun, rifle, shot-gun, any vehicle – & find a Jew behind a tree to kill. If possible, the True Muslim is urged to risk his own life to achieve ‘Paradise’ with 72 virgins, eternal copulation, rivers of wine & honey. He (& she) are told that if they kill Jews (& other infidels – Christians, Zorastrians and/or any Muslim who practices a different Islam cult than his) with an attack intended for him (or her) to commit suicide, they will rise to join Mohammed in this virgin, honeyed, liquored Paradise.

In fact, they are trained to copy Mohammed’s life-style. If I told you what that was, I don’t think you would believe me. No doubt, you may know some very nice, sweet people who happen to be Muslim. I’m not accusing them of being the extreme, murdering kind of Muslim. I’ve said before: The world holds 1.5 Billion Muslims. If only 2% of them are programmed to be murderers, that’s only 24 Million. That sounds like a lot to me. Where are they all? Around your corner, down the block, next door, next country over??

LONE WOLF-ISM & LONE WOLF-ITIS (OR ISIS) were invented (along with mentally deranged) to cover over the extreme, fanatic MURDERERS in the name of Islam.

Muslim Imams broadcast over radio & TV to LONERS out in the world to take up the knife for Islam. Someone, somewhere tells them to do it. They are not – are never – aLONE. The brain-washing & programming is totally masterful, clever, smart & very, very EVIL!

So, what are we to do? First, wake up. Be alert. Expect the Muslim world to put a stop to the bloody rampage which we all seem to be suffering. An immediate stop? – maybe too difficult. Perhaps a fast revolution of the culture (the blood cult culture) could be promoted.

If Muslims want to be proud of Islam, protect their own people, promote their own religion, then they must be held responsible for Islam’s own evil-doers – because they & their precious ones are also at great risk of harm. They must demand that their leaders lead them to peaceful behavior. They are truly culpable for what their co-religionists do. They cannot offer such criminal behavior (or such criminals) sanctuary.

During the attack on Bus #40 at the Ma’ariv Junction in Tel Aviv at 7:30 am, Herzl Biton, the bus driver, 62 years, was stabbed at least 4 times, called his boss & said, “I’m dying; Please take care of my children.” Baruch Hashem (Thank G-d) Herzl Biton has resumed consciousness &, hopefully is surviving.

We must renounce the Oslo Accords which have so obviously failed miserably.

WE MUST DECLARE FULL SOVEREIGNTY OVER ALL THE LAND FROM THE JORDAN RIVER TO THE MEDITERRANEAN SEA.

Every time these ‘significant others’ who live with us commit such an atrocity of violence, we will first evict their families abroad & blow up their home. & – We will build a new home or town in Judea, Samaria…wherever needed West of the Jordan River, for Jewish families.

Have a wonderful Shabbos, All the very best, Gail/Geula/Savta/Savta Raba/Mom

1. Iran, Obama, Boehner & Netanyahu by Caroline Glick Jerusalem Post January 23, 2015

The role of an Israeli leader is to adopt the policies that protect Israel, even when they are unpopular at the White House.

Iran has apparently produced an intercontinental ballistic missile whose range far exceeds the distance between Iran & Israel, & between Iran & Europe.

On Wednesday night, Channel 2 showed satellite imagery taken by Israel’s Eros-B satellite that was launched last April. The imagery showed new missile-related sites that Iran recently constructed just outside Tehran. One facility is a missile launch site, capable of sending a rocket into space or of firing an ICBM.

On the launch pad was a new 27-meter long missile, never seen before.

The missile & the launch pad indicate that Iran’s ballistic missile program, which is an integral part of its nuclear weapons program, is moving forward at full throttle. The expanded range of Iran’s ballistic missile program as indicated by the satellite imagery makes clear that its nuclear weapons program is not merely a threat to Israel, or to Israel & Europe. It is a direct threat to the United States as well. Also on Wednesday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was invited to address a joint session of Congress by House Speaker John Boehner. Boehner has asked Netanyahu to address US lawmakers on February 11 regarding Iran’s nuclear program & the threat to international security posed by radical Islam. Opposition leaders were quick to accuse Boehner & the Republican Party of interfering in Israel’s upcoming election by providing Netanyahu with such a prestigious stage just five weeks before Israelis go to the polls. Labor MK Nachman Shai told The Jerusalem Post that for the sake of fairness, Boehner should extend the same invitation to opposition leader Isaac Herzog. But in protesting as they have, opposition members have missed the point. Boehner didn’t invite Netanyahu because he cares about Israel’s election. He invited Netanyahu because he cares about US national security. He believes that by having Netanyahu speak on the issues of Iran’s nuclear program & radical Islam, he will advance America’s national security. Boehner’s chief concern, & that of the majority of his colleagues from the Democratic & Republican parties alike, is that President Barack Obama’s policy in regard to Iran’s nuclear weapons program imperils the US. Just as the invitation to Netanyahu was a bipartisan invitation, so concerns about Obama’s policy toward Iran’s nuclear program are bipartisan concerns. Over the past week in particular, Obama has adopted a position on Iran that puts him far beyond the mainstream of US politics. This radical position has placed the president on a collision course with Congress best expressed on Wednesday by Democratic Sen. Robert Menendez. During a hearing at the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee where Menendez serves as ranking Democratic member, he said, “The more I hear from the administration & its quotes, the more it sounds like talking points that come straight out of Tehran.” Menendez was referring to threats that Obama has made three times over the past week, most prominently at his State of the Union address on Tuesday, to veto any sanctions legislation against Iran brought to his desk for signature. He has cast proponents of sanctions – & Menendez is the co-sponsor of a pending sanctions bill – as enemies of a diplomatic strategy of dealing with Iran, & by implication, as warmongers. Indeed, in remarks to the Democratic members of the Senate last week, Obama impugned the motivations of lawmakers who support further sanctions legislation. He indirectly alleged that they were being forced to take their positions due to pressure from their donors & others. The problem for American lawmakers is that the diplomatic course that Obama has chosen makes it impossible for the US to use the tools of diplomacy to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. That course of diplomatic action is anchored in the Joint Plan of Action that the US & its partners Germany, France, Britain, China & Russia (the P5+1) signed with Tehran in November 2013. The JPOA placed no limitation on Iran’s ballistic missile program. The main areas the JPOA covers are Iran’s uranium enrichment & plutonium reactor activities. Under the agreement, or the aspects of it that Obama has made public, Iran is supposed to limit its enrichment of uranium to 3.5-percent purity. And it is not supposed to take action to expand its heavy water reactor at Arak, which could be used to develop weapons grade plutonium. THE JPOA is also supposed to force Iran to share all nuclear activities undertaken in the past by its military personnel. During his State of the Union address, Obama claimed that since the agreement was signed, Iran has “halted the progress of its nuclear program & reduced its stockpile of nuclear material.”

Yet as Omri Ceren of the Israel Project noted this week, since the JPOA was signed, Iran has expanded its uranium & plutonium work. & as the Eros-B satellite imagery demonstrated, Iran is poised to launch an ICBM.

When it signed the JPOA, Obama administration officials dismissed concerns that by permitting Iran to enrich uranium to 3.5% – in breach of binding UN Security Council Resolution 1929 from 2010 – the US was enabling Iran to develop nuclear weapons. Enrichment to 3.5%, they said, is a far cry from the 90% enrichment level needed for uranium to be bomb grade.

But it works out that the distance isn’t all that great. Sixty percent of the work required to enrich uranium to bomb grade levels of purity is done by enriching it to 3.5%. Since it signed the JPOA, Iran has enriched sufficient quantities of uranium to produce two nuclear bombs. As for plutonium development work, as Ceren pointed out, the White House’s fact sheet on the JPOA said that Iran committed itself “to halt progress on its plutonium track.” Last October, Foreign Policy magazine reported that Iran was violating that commitment by seeking to procure parts for its heavy water plutonium reactor at Arak. & yet, astoundingly, rather than acknowledge the simple fact that Iran was violating its commitment, the State Department excused Iran’s behavior & insisted that it was not in clear violation of its commitment. More distressingly, since the JPOA was signed, Iran has repeatedly refused to allow the International Atomic Energy Agency to access Iran’s nuclear installations or to inform the IAEA about the nuclear activities that its military have carried out in the past. As a consequence, the US & its partners still do not know what nuclear installations Iran has or what nuclear development work it has undertaken. This means that if a nuclear agreement is signed between Iran & the P5+1, that agreement’s verification protocols will in all likelihood not apply to all aspects of Iran’s nuclear program. & if it does not apply to all aspects of Iran’s nuclear activities, it cannot prevent Iran from continuing the activities it doesn’t know about. As David Albright, a former IAEA inspector, explained in a Wall Street Journal op-ed last May, “To be credible, a final agreement must ensure that any effort by Tehran to construct a bomb would be sufficiently time-consuming & detectable that the international community could act decisively to prevent Iran from succeeding. It is critical to know whether the Islamic Republic had a nuclear weapons program in the past, how far the work on warheads advanced & whether it continues. Without clear answers to these questions, outsiders will be unable to determine how fast the Iranian regime could construct either a crude nuclear-test device or a deliverable weapon if it chose to renege on an agreement.” Concern about the loopholes in the JPOA led congressional leaders from both parties to begin work to pass additional sanctions against Iran immediately after the JPOA was concluded. To withstand congressional pressure, the Obama administration alternately attacked the patriotism of its critics, who it claimed were trying to push the US into & unnecessary war against Iran, & assured them that all of their concerns would be addressed in a final agreement. Unfortunately, since signing the JPOA, the administration has adopted positions that ensure that none of Congress’s concerns will be addressed. Whereas in early 2013, Secretary of State John Kerry declared that “the president has made it definitive” that Iran needs to answer all “questions surrounding Iran’s nuclear program,” last November it was reported that the US & its partners had walked back this requirement. Iran will not be required to give full accounting of its past nuclear work, & so the US & its partners intend to sign a deal that will be unable to verify that Iran does not build nuclear weapons.

As the administration has ignored its previous pledges to Congress to ensure that a deal with Iran will make it possible to prevent it from acquiring nuclear weapons, it has also acted to ensure that Iran will pay no price for negotiating in bad faith. The sanctions bill that Obama threatens to veto would only go into effect if Iran fails to sign an agreement.

As long as negotiations progress, no sanctions would be enforced. OBAMA’S MESSAGE then is clear. Not only will the diplomatic policy he has adopted not prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons (and the ability to attack the US with nuclear warheads attached to an ICBM), but in the event that Iran fails to agree to even cosmetic limitations on its nuclear progress, it will suffer no consequences for its recalcitrance.

And this brings us back to Boehner’s invitation to Netanyahu.

With Obama’s diplomatic policy toward Iran enabling rather than preventing Iran from becoming a nuclear power, members of the House & Senate are seeking a credible, unwavering voice that offers an alternative path. For the past 20 years, Netanyahu has been the global leader most outspoken about the need to take all necessary measures to prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear power, not only for Israel’s benefit, but to protect the entire free world. From the perspective of the congressional leadership, then, inviting Netanyahu to speak was a logical move.

In the Israeli context, however, it was an astounding development. For the past generation, the Israeli Left has insisted Israel’s role on the world stage is that of a follower.

As a small, isolated nation, Israel has no choice, they say, other than to follow the lead of the West, & particularly of the White House, on all issues, even when the US president is wrong. All resistance to White House policies is dangerous & irresponsible, leaders like Herzog & Tzipi Livni continuously warn.

Boehner’s invitation to Netanyahu exposes the Left’s dogma as dangerous nonsense.

The role of an Israeli leader is to adopt the policies that protect Israel, even when they are unpopular at the White House. Far from being ostracized for those policies, such an Israeli leader will be supported, respected, & relied upon by those who share with him a concern for what truly matters.

A knife in the colors of the Palestinian flag & a bloodied Israeli flag Safa News Agency H.E. Mr. Cristián Barros Melet, President of the Security Council United Nations, New York Excellency,

I write to draw your attention to the most recent terror attack against Israeli civilians. This morning, 12 Israelis were savagely stabbed by a Palestinian terrorist on a Tel Aviv bus.

The terrorist who attacked innocent men & women came from the city of Tulkarem, but he was not alone. On the bus with him & directing his murderous hand, were years of anti-Israel incitement fed to him by Palestinian leaders, as well, as the rogue regimes that fund & celebrate terrorists attacks against Jews, namely Iran & Qatar.

Shortly after the attack, Hamas – a terrorist group, proxy of Iran, & President Abbas’s partner in the Palestinian unity government – praised the stabbings & encouraged Palestinians to commit similar attacks against Israelis. Numerous cartoons such as the ones shown on the following page were posted on Hamas-affiliated news websites.

The Security Council has yet to say a word in response to the wave of terrorism aimed at Israeli citizens in recent months. By remaining silent, the Council is giving terrorists & their sponsors a free pass & literally letting them get away with murder.

I urge the Council to immediately & unequivocally condemn the recent terrorist attacks. It must denounce Palestinian incitement, denounce the Hamas terrorist group, & denounce those states that are lending their support to this murderous campaign.

I should be grateful if you would have this letter distributed as an official document of the Security Council. I wish to inform you that an identical letter has been sent to H.E. Mr. Ban Ki-moon, Secretary-General of the United Nations. Please accept, Excellency, the assurance of my highest consideration.

Yours truly, Ron Prosor, Ambassador, Permanent Representative

Hours after this morning’s terrorist attack in which 12 Israelis were stabbed, Palestinian media outlets posted cartoons praising the stabbings.

Safa News Agency published the image below of a knife painted in the colors of the Palestinian flag. In the background is a bloodied Israeli flag. The caption reads “Good morning Palestine.”

On Wednesday, Jan. 21, an Arab terrorist from Tulkarem, boarded a public bus during the morning rush hour & viciously stabbed a dozen Israelis. Several people remain in critical condition.

The bus driver, Herzl Biton, was stabbed multiple times as he bravely fought back against the attacker. He was in a medically-induced coma, as was another victim, but Biton today regained consciousness.

The terrorist was shot in the leg by prison guards when he rushed off the bus. The prison guards happened to be driving on the same road & saw the bus weaving suspiciously. The terrorist was taken to an Israeli hospital for treatment & will be charged.

The hatred of Israelis, of Jews, has become such a public experience, that people on social media appropriated the recent homage to those murdered at the French satirical Charlie Hebdo magazine, “#JeSuisCharlie, & created their own version: #JeSuisCouteau, which means “I Am Knife.”

The people using this hashtag, frequently accompanied by grotesque cartoons of stabbed Jews or glorifying pictures of knives, are celebrating the vicious attack on Jews.

What follows are many examples of the tweets & Tumblr posts glorifying the weapon used to attack Israelis.

10 Israeli Tourists Attacked in Argentina Hostel By: JNS News Service The Jewish Press Published: January 22nd, 2015

(JNS.org) Ten Israeli tourists were violently assaulted earlier this week in an anti-Semitic attack at a hostel in the Patagonia region of Argentina.

Media reports indicate that the group of backpackers woke up at 1 a.m. Monday due to the sound of a shotgun going off nearby. Three men entered the hostel & assaulted the guests with broken bottles, sticks, & Molotov cocktails. They also forced security personnel who arrived at the scene to retreat.

“It was a terrifying moment, several hours of fear,” said Yoav Pollac, the owner of the Onda Azul hostel in Lago Puelo, according to the Argentine newspaper Clarín. “They shouted, ‘Go, f—ing Jews. You f—ing Jews are robbing us in the Patagonia region.’”

Pollac, who told The Guardian that the attackers have not yet been arrested, decided to close the hostel temporarily due to this week’s incident & a previous anti-Semitic incident at the site, posting on the hostel’s Facebook page that “last October they burned down one of our cabins with a Molotov cocktail. I can’t take the risk of one of our guests being killed.”

Tel Aviv Dan company bus driver Herzl Biton has regained consciousness after being stabbed repeatedly by a Palestinian Authority Arab terrorist who attacked him while he was driving.

Despite his wounds, he managed to stop the Number 40 bus & open the door to let the passengers escape from the knife-wielding terrorist.

Biton, 55, was seriously wounded in Wednesday’s attack (Jan. 21).

He is hospitalized at Ichilov Medical Center in Tel Aviv. “He fought the terrorist & got hurt more. Please pray for a speedy & full recovery,” his son Yaniv requested.

Biton underwent surgery & was sedated for hours. Although he is no longer fighting for his life, the driver is still in serious condition. As of Thursday morning eight people were still hospitalized from the attack.

Still fighting for her life & hospitalized at Sourasky is a 69-year-old woman also stabbed by the terrorist.

Two other victims in the same attack are listed in fair condition at Tel Aviv’s Sheba Medical Center. Both are expected to recover.

Hamza Matrouk, 23, of Tulkarm confessed that he launched the attack in hopes of “reaching paradise” in response to radical Islamist jihad programs he had seen on television. He told investigators the attack was also carried out in retaliation for last summer’s IDF counter terror Operation Protective Edge in Gaza, & recent disturbances on the Temple Mount.

Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) agents & IDF soldiers launched a joint operation this morning (Thursday, Jan. 22) to search Matrouk’s home & those of two family members near Tulkarm. Two arrests were made, according to a report broadcast on Army Radio.

A second lone wolf terror stabbing attempt was made by another Palestinian Arab this morning, less than 24 hours after yesterday’s attack.

Police officers in Ra’anana found themselves suddenly struggling with a Palestinian Arab man trying to stab them during an arrest.

The 22-year-old terrorist, a resident of the Palestinian Authority, was originally being detained because he did not have a permit to enter Israel.

While searching him police discovered the man had a knife, but found him suddenly trying to stab them with an additional blade.

No injuries were reported. The attacker was transferred to security personnel at a Kfar Saba precinct for further questioning.

6. Hezbollah Terror Tunnel’ Video Shatters Ya’alon’s Claims

Ya’alon claimed digging sounds on northern border are ‘horse hooves,’ but new video in border town seems to capture nighttime digging.

By Ari Yashar Arutz Sheva IsraelNationalNews.com First Publish: 1/22/2015, 8:45 PM

While Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon (Likud) has tried to allay fears claiming digging sounds residents on the northern border have been hearing for years are not Hezbollah constructing terror tunnels, a new video records what clearly appears to be the sound of underground digging.

When asked about the noises earlier this month, Ya’alon claimed “no tunnels have been located on the northern border. Noises that were heard beneath a home turned out to be a neighbor’s horse stomping with his hooves.”

But a new video posted on YouTube Wednesday, said to have been filmed at nighttime in the Moshav Shtula right on the border with Lebanon, has many seriously doubting Ya’alon’s claims.

Highlighting fears for many is the fact that the government was unwilling to destroy Hamas’s terror tunnels in Operation Protective Edge despite their existence being known, with the government agreeing to ceasefires with Hamas before the tunnels were lethally unveiled, indicating a willingness to leave them in place.

Tensions with Hezbollah have been raised sharply in recent days, after atop terrorist in the organization was killed in an Israeli airstrike, just days after Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah threatened to conquer the Galilee.

Upper Galilee Regional Council head Giora Zaltz said last September that despite the reports of terror tunnels from Lebanon, “as of today all of the investigations that have been conducted – & many have been conducted – have not found even a single tunnel.”

“I’ll tell you what’s more, here you don’t need a tunnel to cross the border. Twenty-two communities are already on the confrontation line adjacent to the border, so that if someone wanted to do something they wouldn’t need a tunnel,” said Zaltz, in a statement unlikely to reassure many.

IDF sources earlier last September revealed to Arutz Sheva that the army is in fact concerned about the tunnel threat, & is quietly investigating the possibility of Hezbollah terror tunnels.

Many residents of the north have reported hearing the sounds of digging & hammers from underneath their homes, coupled with evidence of active cement mixers & construction trucks carting out earth on the Lebanese side under the cover of greenhouse structures.

Top US diplomat reportedly agrees it was a “little unusual” to hear about invitation from House speaker’s officer & not by usual means of diplomatic protocol.

Earlier Wednesday, US House of Representatives Speaker John Boehner invited Netanyahu to address Congress on Iran without consulting US President Barack Obama, prompting the White House to question whether protocol had been violated. AFP cited Kerry, the top US diplomat, as agreeing that is was a “little unusual” to hear about the invitation from Boehner’s officer & not by the usual means of diplomatic protocol. Boehner told reporters he did not inform the White House of his plans to invite Netanyahu to the US until Wednesday morning. Neither did the prime minister’s office. Obama’s press secretary said that typical protocol for the visit of a national figurehead had been breached somewhere along the way. “The protocol would suggest that the leader of one country would contact the leader of another country when he’s traveling there. This particular event seems to be a departure from that protocol,” said press secretary Josh Earnest. An Israeli official told Reuters that Netanyahu, whose relationship with Obama has often been tense, was looking into the possibility of meeting with Obama when he comes to Washington to address a joint session of Congress on February 11. The White House declined to comment on whether Obama will receive Netanyahu during his visit. Meanwhile, the prime minister’s office has not yet confirmed whether Netanyahu will accept Boehner’s invitation. Boehner announced the invitation the day after Obama pledged in his State of the Union address to veto Iran sanctions legislation being developed in Congress. Michael Wilner & Reuters contributed to this report.

WASHINGTON — The White House expressed displeasure with the handling of an upcoming visit by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the United States on Wednesday, after the Israeli premier received an invitation by House of Representatives Speaker John Boehner to address a joint session of Congress next month. Boehner told reporters he did not inform the White House of his plans to invite Netanyahu to the US until this morning. Neither did the prime minister’s office. Aboard Air Force One en route to Idaho, US President Barack Obama’s press secretary said that typical protocol for the visit of a national figurehead had been breached somewhere along the way. “The protocol would suggest that the leader of one country would contact the leader of another country when he’s traveling there,” press secretary Josh Earnest told reporters traveling with Obama aboard Air Force One. “This particular event seems to be a departure from that protocol,” Earnest said. The White House declined to comment on whether the president will receive Netanyahu during his visit. Boehner’s invitation comes one day after Obama delivered his sixth State of the Union address, reissuing a veto threat on new sanctions legislation against Iran should diplomacy fail over its nuclear work. Netanyahu supports continuing pressure on Iran through sanctions legislation throughout the negotiations. Earnest acknowledged in the gaggle that Republicans likely seek Netanyahu’s help in pressuring Democrats on the bill. “We’ll have some conversations with the Israeli government,” White House Josh Earnest said aboard Air Force One, en route to Boise, Idaho. “We’ll allow the Israeli government the opportunity to preview what the prime minister intends to say.” Netanyahu’s last visit to the US in October included some unwelcome exchanges, now routine in his relationship with Obama. At that time, Earnest questioned the Israeli government’s commitment to the pursuit of peace in light of its settlement activities less than an hour after he met with the president in the Oval Office. The prime minister’s office has not yet confirmed whether Netanyahu will accept Boehner’s invitation.

Fury in Israel Over Obama’s Mossad ‘Lies’

Senior Israeli says ‘friends don’t act like this’ after Mossad Head denies US claim that he opposed Iran sanctions in talk with senators.

A senior Israeli official delivered an uncommonly harsh attack on US President Barack Obama’s administration Thursday evening, following the American report that alleged that Mossad Head Tamir Pardo had warned US senators against further Iran sanctions, in contradiction of Israel’s official stance.

“The fraudulent claims against the Mossad Head were raised by the Americans yesterday, despite a message that had been transmitted to them on Tuesday by Intelligence Minister [Yuval] Steintz,” the senior Israeli source told Channel 2 news.

He added that Israel had gone over the minutes of the meeting between Pardo & the delegation of senators, & that Pardo had not said what was attributed to him.

“Leaking the Mossad Head’s statements, even if they had not been falsified, is a serious breach of all the rules,” the senior source added. “Friends do not behave like this. Information from a secret meeting must not leak out.”

Pardo denied on Thursday the report – which was carried by Bloomberg news – claiming that the Mossad disagrees with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu about the need to press new sanctions on Iran.

The report said that Mossad officials advised US senators who were visiting Israel recently to hold off on further Iran sanctions, saying that they would hamper, not help, efforts to persuade Iran to give up or allow full international supervision of its nuclear program.

“The Head of Mossad did not say that he opposes additional sanctions on Iran,” said the spy agency Thursday.

“Mossad Head Tamir Pardo met on January 19, 2015, with a delegation of US senators,” Mossad said in a statement. “The meeting was held at the request of the senators & with the prime minister’s approval. At the meeting, the Head of Mossad stressed the extraordinary effectiveness of the sanctions that have been placed on Iran for several years in bringing Iran to the negotiating table.”

“The Head of Mossad noted that in negotiating with Iran, a policy of ‘carrots & sticks’ must be adopted, & there are not enough ‘sticks’ nowadays,” it added.

Furthermore, said the agency, he “said specifically that the agreement that is being formed with Iran is bad & could lead to a regional arms race.”

Sources in Jerusalem told Army Radio Thursday that the story reported in Bloomberg about disagreement between Netanyahu & the Mossad regarding sanctions on Iran is US President Barack Obama administration’s “revenge” for Netanyahu’s invitation to address Congress.

The invitation was extended by Congress without consulting Obama.

Fury in Israel Over Obama’s Mossad ‘Lies’

I’m going to do something different today: Start with good news items. We need to hear that good news, with all the clouds hanging over us.

The first is the matter of Israeli-Japanese relations, which have blossomed astonishingly in the past year. This is true in the areas of diplomatic relations, industrial & scientific technology & trade. On Sunday, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe arrived here for a three-day visit (which ultimately had to be cut short because of an ISIS hostage situation he had to contend with at home). & it was on Sunday that Prime Minister Netanyahu, referring to the Islamization of Europe, spoke about the need to increase Asian markets. He spoke as well about the “historic opportunity” to join Israeli & Japanese capabilities for mutual benefit.

Abe brought with him 100 Japanese diplomatic & business leaders; he & Netanyahu attended a forum on science & business.

And so the essential lesson here is that we are not alone as a nation, & we should not imagine that the world begins & ends with Europe.

And then we have the absolutely remarkable speech of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi of just weeks ago. It is possible that you have not heard about this, & I am, quite frankly, remiss for not having shared it sooner.

Egypt is an astonishment in any event. When Mubarak was ousted in June 2012, & the Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated Morsi became president, it seemed the handwriting was on the wall for Egypt, as the grip of the Brotherhood waxed ever tighter. But then, in July 2013, the military took over, & a Brotherhood-hating al-Sisi subsequently morphed from general to president, surprising many & turning the tide in a manner that has been significant for Israel. He has, for example, acted decisively in many spheres against Hamas – a Brotherhood spinoff – in Gaza.

On December 28, 2014, an extraordinarily courageous al-Sisi spoke in Al-Azhar University, in Cairo, to key Islamic clerics & academics. He differentiated between core Islamic beliefs & an overlay of ideology or “thinking” that has been destructive. His tone was calm & reasoned, not frenzied. In part, he said (emphasis added):

“It’s inconceivable that the thinking that we hold most sacred should cause the entire umma (multinational community of Muslim believers) to be a source of anxiety, danger, killing & destruction for the rest of the world. Impossible!

“That thinking – I am not saying ‘religion’ but ‘thinking’ – that corpus of texts & ideas that we have sacralized over the years, to the point that departing from them has become almost impossible, is antagonizing the entire world. It’s antagonizing the entire world!

“Is it possible that 1.6 billion [Muslims] should want to kill the rest of the world’s inhabitants – that is 7 billion – so that they themselves may live? Impossible!

“I say & repeat again that we are in need of a religious revolution. You, imams, are responsible before Allah. The entire world, I say it again, the entire world is waiting for your next move…because this umma is being torn, it is being destroyed, it is being lost – & it is being lost by our own hands.

Here you have a MEMRI clip of his talk:

I also count as very good news the invitation that has now been extended to Prime Minister Netanyahu by Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-Ohio) to address the joint houses of Congress in February on the issues of Islamic extremism & Iran. This is an expression of very solid support for Israel within Congress, & marks a readiness by America’s elected representatives to take seriously what our prime minister has to say about these issues.

Netanyahu promptly accepted.

Obama’s nose was seriously out of joint because of this invitation. It was a breach of protocol, intoned White House press secretary Josh Earnst. Protocol, he said, would require Israel to inform the president of potential plans to visit the country before proceeding with an acceptance.

http://www.timesofisrael.com/ white-house-invite-to- netanyahu-a-breach-of- protocol/

But the key source of irritation, I would imagine, was the failure of Boehner to consult the president before proceeding with the invitation. Obama was, quite simply, out of the loop. It is, of course, very much to the point that this invitation followed on the heels of Obama’s State of the Union Address, which left many in Congress severely disgruntled. & that Obama knows he will not be pleased with what Netanyahu will say.

Binyamin Netanyahu has consistently promoted a position of strong sanctions against Iran, to use as leverage in negotiations. This is a position that he will undoubtedly reiterate in Washington.

It runs directly counter to Obama’s position – stated once again in his State of the Union address this week – that he would veto any sanctions bill advanced by Congress because of the splendid progress he is making in negotiations.

http://www.algemeiner.com/ 2015/01/20/obama-pledges-to- veto-iran-sanctions-bill-in- state-of-the-union-address/

I hope to return to this deplorable situation for a closer examination.

But today, a report surfaced in Bloomberg News claiming that the Mossad disagrees with Netanyahu. It indicated that Mossad officials advised US senators who were visiting Israel recently to hold off on further Iran sanctions, because they would hamper efforts to persuade Iran to give up its nuclear program.

The appearance of this report – presumably authoritative – shortly before Netanyahu is scheduled to address Congress had the immediate effect of undercutting him.

Now the head of the Mossad has taken the unusual action of issuing a public denial of this report (emphasis added):

“Mossad Head Tamir Pardo met on January 19, 2015, with a delegation of US senators. The meeting was held at the request of the senators & with the prime minister’s approval. At the meeting, the Head of the Mossad stressed the extraordinary effectiveness of the sanctions that have been placed on Iran for several years in bringing Iran to the negotiating table.

The Head of the Mossad noted that in negotiating with Iran, a policy of ‘carrots & sticks’ must be adopted, & there are not enough ‘sticks’ nowadays.”

Additionally, according to the Mossad statement, Pardo “said specifically that the agreement that is being formed with Iran is bad & could lead to a regional arms race. http://www.israelnationalnews. com/News/News.aspx/190349#. VMEZ5Zv9nIU

And so what is going on here? The Obama administration – furious about the invitation to Netanyahu & concerned about his message – was playing dirty. Out-and-out lying, actually. Presumably not anticipating that the Mossad would come forward & directly counter what was “leaked.”

More apparent disinformation on another matter:

After the attack on the convoy in the Golan, which took out high level Hezbollah & Iranian personnel, Reuters came out with a story that a security source in Israel said the military had no idea that an Iranian general was being targeted – that it was simply thought that some guerrillas were in the convoy.

http://www.reuters.com/ article/2015/01/20/us-mideast- crisis-israel-syria- idUSKBN0KT1HQ20150120

I, of course, do not know who the “source” was, but this seemed blatantly an attempt on someone’s part to partially defuse a volatile situation, or to downplay Israel’s accomplishment. Whatever the case, this “report” was carried broadly.

Now here I cite from Al-Arabiya, as reported in IMRA (emphasis added):

”[The attack] is also one of the biggest losses inflicted on Hezbollah by Israel in recent years…

“Analysts, speaking to Al-Arabiya News, said the attack represented a major breach to Hezbollah’s security & a tactical misjudgment on the part of the Iranian-backed militant group. “’This was a colossal failure … because they [Hezbollah] put this number of senior figures in one spot & at the same observation point & at the same time,” Wehbe Katicha, a former Lebanese army general, told Al Arabiya News. “’You rarely see armies committing such a mistake,’ he said. “This is represents a weak point of Hezbollah because of this behavior,” he added. “While not describing it as a failure, Dr. Hilal Khashan, a political science professor at the American University of Beirut, said the incident was a ‘major security breach’ to Hezbollah’s security apparatus. “’Hezbollah moves secretly & a number of ranking officials are even tighter. The fact is Israel had information from within,’ he said.”

I started with the good news, & must end with bad: There was a terror attack in Tel Aviv yesterday morning, when an Arab from Tulkarem, in Samaria, boarded a bus & attacked passengers & the driver with a knife, seriously injuring four. We are grateful that no one was killed.

10.US Warships in Red Sea, Prepare to Evacuate Embassy in Yemen At least two US warships have been moved to the Red Sea in case the Embassy in Yemen is evacuated. By: Hana Levi Julian The Jewish Press Published: January 21st, 2015

The capital of Yemen is Sana’a The USS Iwo Jima & the USS Fort McHenry warships sailed into the Red Sea on Wednesday.

Both are positioned to take on foreign service employees & their families fleeing the U.S. embassy in Yemen, if deemed necessary. Iranian-backed Shi’ite Houthi rebels overtook the presidential palace after a long barrage of shelling in Yemen’s capital, Sana’a, on Tuesday, according to CNN. Information Minister Nadia Sakkaf told the news network, “The President has no control [over the country.”

Yemeni President Abdu Rabu Mansour Hadi is believed to be in his private residence, & was not in the presidential palace at the time of the attack. However, the president’s residence is reportedly under attack as well, as is the prime minister’s residence as well, according to Sakkaf.

The attack on the presidential regime apparently comes in response to a decision to introduce a new constitution without the approval of the Houthi constituency. On Saturday, Houthi rebels also abducted presidential chief of staff Ahmed bin Mubarak in Sana’a.

The southern city of Aden is still reportedly under the control of the government regime, which closed the Aden port & sealed roads leading into & out of Sana’a, according to Yemeni state television. But the government has little other control, & it may just be a matter of time before even that much is wrested away by Al Qaeda.

Meanwhile, the situation is becoming increasingly perilous for foreigners in the country – & for Americans in particular, given the ongoing “war on terror” being waged by the U.S. against Al Qaeda.

Yemen is home to Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) – the Al Qaeda branch that partnered with Islamic State in Iraq & Syria (ISIS) in the recent Paris terror attacks. AQAP claimed direct responsibility for the massacre attack on the offices of the French ‘Charlie Hebdo’ satiric weekly magazine.

The takeover of the Yemeni presidential palace came just a day after clashes between government forces & Houthi rebel fighters left nine people dead & 67 others wounded.

That clash followed an attack Monday night on a U.S. embassy vehicle in Sana’a. It is not clear who fired at the vehicle, which was clearly marked. U.S. diplomatic personnel were in the car at the time. No one was injured according to a report by Fox News Insider. So far the embassy is still open.

“[We] are deeply concerned about the turn of events in Yemen over the last few days,” a State Department official also told U.S.-based ABC News. “[We are] continuing to closely monitor developments…and adjust the embassy’s security posture response in accordance to the situation on the ground.”

11.Israeli Media Bias May Explain Criticism Of Netanyahu’s Visit To Paris By: Patrick Goodenough The Jewish Press Jan. 21, 2015

Reports claiming that Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu angered French President Francois Hollande by taking part in the Jan. 11 mass rally in Paris may have more to do with Israeli politics & media bias than with supposed strains in bilateral relations.

Israeli media outlets & commentators have been zealously & critically analyzing Netanyahu’s participation in the demonstration, which was planned after 17 people were killed in Islamist terror attacks on the offices of the Charlie Hebdo magazine & a kosher supermarket.

The criticism of Netanyahu’s conduct in Paris has been led by media outlets that do not hide their antipathy toward the prime minister & their desire to see him defeated in the March 17 election.

Netanyahu was reported to have ignored a request from Hollande that he not attend – mainly due to security concerns but also on the purported grounds that Hollande did not want the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to detract from the focus on solidarity with France.

Israeli media also charged that the prime minister had unceremoniously shoved his way to the front row, where he joined the leaders of France, Germany, Mali, the European Union, the Palestinian Authority, & others.

The left-wing daily Ha’aretz cited an unnamed Israeli source as saying France had privately asked Netanyahu not to attend; that Netanyahu had agreed but changed his mind after learning that two political rivals were planning to go; & that France had then retaliated by inviting PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas to take part.

Ha’aretz also said that Hollande’s displeasure had been evident during a ceremony at the Grand Synagogue in Paris on Sunday night, when it said the president left while Netanyahu was at the podium.

(French media footage showed Hollande, wearing a skullcap, sitting alongside Netanyahu at the somber memorial service, during which the two were seen talking quietly together.)

By contrast, a review of French media reporting on the rally finds no French officials – named or otherwise – cited as confirming tensions between Hollande & Netanyahu.

What focus there was in French media on Netanyahu’s visit was mostly on his calls for French Jews to consider emigrating to Israel. Israeli leaders have for decades appealed to European Jews to “come home” to the Jewish state, especially after terror attacks targeting Jews or a rise in anti-Semitic incidents.

Le Figaro quoted French Prime Minister Manuel Valls as highlighting the strong symbolism of the presence of both Netanyahu & Abbas at the rally.

While French media have not corroborated the Israeli reports, some have noted them, with Le Monde observing that “much ink in Israel” had been expended on Netanyahu’s visit to Paris.

In an op-ed in the Israel Hayom daily, Haim Shine, a member of board of governors of the Jewish Agency, said the anti-Netanyahu media’s coverage of the Paris visit “shows the degree to which they resent Netanyahu & the Israel he represents.”

Writing on the Frontpage Magazine website, Freedom Center fellow Daniel Greenfield said the sources of the reporting were “a major reason to be skeptical of the claims” about the Hollande-Netanyahu spat, adding that “the lack of French reports confirming it are suspicious.”

While it’s entirely possible that Hollande really did not want Netanyahu to come, the sourcing on this story is from Haaretz,” he said. “Ha’aretz is a left-wing Israeli publication that will print absolutely anything negative about Netanyahu that it can.”

After the Charlie Hebdo attack, Ha’aretz published an op-ed in keeping with its editorial slant, headlined “Bibi’s Vulgarity: Using the Paris Shooting to Justify Israeli Colonialism.”

In it, Tel Aviv “writer & marketer” Roy Isacowitz depicted Netanyahu as a pompous & self-serving opportunist, who in response to the Paris attacks presumed to lecture France & the world “about how to deal with Islamist terror.”

Ha’aretz also reported that an opposition political group had created an online game mocking what the paper called Netanyahu’s “now-legendary footwork (and elbow-work) in insinuating himself into the front row of Sunday’s mammoth march in Paris.”

Players are invited to try to maneuver a little figurine of Netanyahu to the front row of a group of marching figures within a set amount of time. A message at the end reads, “We need a different leadership – one that will put Israel in the front row, even without pushing.”

Speaking in Paris the day after the anti-terrorism rally, Netanyahu alluded to the criticism at home. “Insofar as it depends on me, I will always see to it that Israel marches in the first row of nations vis-a-vis its security & its future,” he said.
