August 1, 2014 -  Four leading insurers have signed on as platinum sponsors for the nation's first virtual insurance conference broadcast from the 2015 Medicare Supplement Insurance Summit.

"We are pleased to announce that United HealthCare, Mutual of Omaha, Aetna and Medico Insurance have agreed to underwrite the cost of broadcasting sessions live from the 2015 Medigap conference," announced Jesse Slome, director of the American Association for Medicare Supplement Insurance, the conference organizer.  "Now, any agent or financial advisor with Internet access can view the special conference sessions from their home or office."??

The special one-day program focused on marketing and selling Medigap solutions will take place April 14, 2015 as part of the national Med Supp industry conference held in Orlando, FL.   Only the special sessions for agents and brokers will be streamed live online.

"Watching speakers online and being able to interact with others from anywhere in the world is the next best thing to actually being present in the room," Slome explains.  The organization expects between 2,000 and 3,000 insurance agents will view all or part of the live broadcast.  Viewers can watch as little or as much of the broadcast as desired.  All sessions will become available following the conference for On-Demand viewing.

"Virtual insurance conference broadcasts utilize the latest technology including chat and connection features," Slome explains.  "The four insurers underwrite the cost and enable us to provide the broadcast free of charge."
