The 1.85 million faxes sent by users of FaxZero.com during 2015 ran the gamut from big businesses to government agencies. FaxZero is releasing data on the companies and organizations that received the most faxes.

E-commerce giant Amazon.com received the most faxes in 2015, just as it did in 2014. Nearly 10,000 free faxes were sent to Amazon via FaxZero.

Several of the fax destinations had to do with student loans and other debt services: FedLoan serving the U.S. Department of Education (coming in second with 5,563 faxes sent), Great Lakes Student Loan, AES Loan Servicing, and the USAA Auto Loan Department.

In third place was FSSA: Indiana Family and Social Services, with 4,507 faxes transmitted there. In fourth was Amazon Web Services, which received 4,002 faxes. In fifth place was Texas Health Service, making the list for the four year in a row with 3,860 faxes received.

"I'm gratified that so many businesses and government entities are apparently encouraging clients to use the free FaxZero service," said Kevin Savetz, the website's founder. "It's convenient, and users' personal information is carefully guarded."

Also making the Top 20 were: American Express, Verizon, TicketLiquidator.com, Credentials Inc., TD Ameritrade, Massachusetts Department of Transitional Assistance, AFLAC, Chase Bank, Paychex and Assurance Wireless.

In previous years, other top recipients of faxes sent via FaxZero have included: eBay, the Health and Human Services Commission, Chase Bank, Twitter, the New York Department of Labor, Capital One and Sallie Mae Loan Deferment.

Savetz, who launched FaxZero in 2006, said, "I hope others find it interesting to see the many ways people use FaxZero. The service is free and so easy to use, via computer or cell phone."

FaxZero lets users send five free faxes per day (with a three-page limit per fax) to anywhere in the U.S. or Canada. FaxZero also offers a premium faxing option for $1.99 per fax, with no daily limit and up to 25 pages per fax. Users can also send faxes through their smart phones. Plus, there's an international fax option for as low as $2 (depending on nation faxed) that allows users to send faxes to more than 180 countries around the world. FaxZero also has a directory that makes it simple to send a free fax to a Congressperson or Senator.

FaxZero accepts documents in DOC, PDF and other formats. A fax cover page can be created through the website, or users can add their own custom file. Faxes generally take five minutes or less to send.

"Internet faxing is popular and useful," Savetz said. "Nearly 2 million faxes sent via FaxZero last year alone prove that."

FaxZero has been featured in publications such as U.S. News, Reuters and PC World. Savetz, an expert on internet faxing since the early 1990s, is the creator of more than 90 FreePrintable.net sites including FreeFaxCoverSheets.net, with its nearly 300 fax cover sheet designs.
