Maria Ramos-Chertok is a guest blogger with Latinx in Kids Lit and in 2020 launched a YouTube channel reading stories to children in both English and Spanish who were out of school due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  When her children were young, one of her great joys was reading to them.  She spent many years working as a camp counselor with differently-abled children and with children in the foster care system.  Maria feels strongly that children's bodies, minds, and souls should be respected and treated with dignity.  She is finalizing her first children's book, 100 Bows.
