Dworkin has over 35 years of professional experience as a Firefighter, EMT, Lifeguard, and Water and Ice Rescue Technician and has published numerous articles and several textbooks. Dworkin regularly consults as a Forensics Expert in drowning and aquatic injury litigation as both a plaintiff and defense expert. He was named by Aquatics International Magazine as a 2010 Power 25 Reinventor of Aquatics, and served on the Board of Directors for the National Drowning Prevention Alliance (www.ndpa.org).
