No, I’m not talking about the Australian soap, Neighbours, that ran for 36 seasons and launched Kylie Minogue’s singing career. I’m talking about the power of community.
I met one of my closest best friends over a craps table at a casino night in our condo building when we first moved to the US in 2004.
Some of my favorite work friends have been those I grew close to as my office neighbors.
Our street used to hold dinner parties that spanned several houses where each course was at a different house and you met 6 of your neighbors for each course.
We just had dinner with 28 of our new neighbors, some of which have been neighbors for 22 years!
The history, support, and friendship you have with those living closest to you can be priceless especially when life in lockdown is still a vivid memory.
While many don’t have work neighbors, how are you connecting to your neighbors next door?
Perhaps knock on the door and introduce yourself.
Dedicated to growing your business,
Val
