WHY MANAFORT WILL ROLL ON DONALD TRUMP

By

Nobody respects a "rat," but for former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort's future, turning snitch might be his golden E-Ticket for staying out of the federal slam!

Manafort, 68, who was just hit with 12 criminal counts after being indicted by a D.C. grand jury future as a free man looks bleak. Federal prosecutors have labeled him a flight risk, and he is currently stuck on house arrest inside a cushy Virginia condo with a GPS monitor strapped to his leg and a satellite tracking his every move 24 hours a day, as prosecutors and defense lawyers slug it out before U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson regarding Manafort's request for bond!

While house arrest may seem restrictive to a power broker like Manafort, the reality of a potential lengthy sentence, and the custody conditions he'd face at a real prison, should light a bonfire under his ass that he better be first to the plate and cut a plea deal with Special Counsel Robert Muller before some other Trumpster does.

Manafort's currently being charged with fraud, money laundering, and conspiracy along with other charges, in a criminal inquiry derived from special counsel Robert Muller's obstruction of justice investigation of the Trump 2016 presidential campaign and its possible ties to Russia. Manafort as of this writing, hasn't been charged with anything related to Russian interference; but in reality that means nothing all!

As an investigation develops and new information about criminal acts come forth, prosecutors frequently file subsequent superseding indictments against defendant's everyday, stacking charge upon charge on them that can lead to serious prison time, and create a huge incentive for defendants to cooperate law enforcement and limit their exposure.

While the Trump administration may have wishful thinking that Muller's investigation will soon be over, it's highly unlikely. With the dream team of lawyers that Muller assembled crawling up the Trump campaign's ass with a microscope, they're bound to find dirt somewhere, and undoubtedly have several people related to the campaign in their investigations crosshairs terrified about being charged with a felony, or even worse being sent to prison running their mouths about the Trumps, Kushner, and other senior campaign officials.

Despite the fact the only people charged so far are former campaign manager Manafort, deputy campaign manager Robert Gates, and former Trump campaign foreign policy advisor George Papadopoulos,  Papadopoulos is already cooperating with Muller's prosecution team and has former Trump Campaign officials wetting their pants in fear and anticipation about what the 30 year old Papadopoulos might have told prosecutors about their involvement in illegal and questionable activities.

But young Papadopoulos was just on the campaign's fringes, and had limited knowledge of the campaign's activities! What the White House and Trump really fear, is that campaign insider and former national-security adviser retired general Mike Flynn could be indicted, and open a can of worms about a wide reaching scandal and conspiracy that could touch the White House and lead to possible obstruction-of-justice charges against President Trump himself.

According to the Washington Post, in his first 263 days in office, President Trump made 1,318 false and misleading claims to the American people. It's highly unlikely that many people including 68 year old Manafort would lie and give up their liberty and spend years in prison to protect a less than truthful president!
