Many salespeople tend to have a bad habit. You’ve probably seen it many times from those who do not do very well in sales.

On the flipside, we find those who are the most successful in selling ? and in business ? have a trait that carries them through no matter what the economy, no matter what the circumstances.

Life is funny that we live our lives shrouded in our own personal perception of what is happening. We only breathe for ourselves. We only eat for ourselves (unless, of course, you’re pregnant). We only sleep for ourselves. Everything we perceive in the world is from our own point of view and heavily influenced by our past experiences.

Yet to be successful in sales, as well as other areas in life, we have to see things from the other person’s point of view. The most important part of relationship marketing is understanding the other person’s point of view.
