On your wedding day, your cut, color & style should be the best ever. Trust your hair & beauty services to the name that all of Hollywood is talking about. Celebrity stylist Billy Lowe knows how to make your hair look great not just for your wedding day ? but each and every day. Here are his top tips when planning your wedding day hair & beauty services.

1. For wedding day hairstyling or make-up services, be sure you are working with a stylist & make-up artist that understands what the camera sees. Too many times I look at photos and there are color imbalances, or hairstyles weren?t right for the setting (or they looked dated). You want to look back 20 or 30 years from now and be able to say ?Wow, great shot!? Your wedding day hair & make-up is much more than just hair & make-up. Your beauty professionals needs to understand what?s going on around them in terms of lighting, mood, atmosphere ? in order to give you the best hair & make-up application.

2. Be sure you have your hair & make-up services applied on location. Too many brides make the mistake of having hair & make-up services in the salon and then racing to their wedding location. The lighting and mood can be completely different in the salon than what it is at your wedding location which can lead to imbalance and inconsistencies in style, theme & tone for your photos.

3. Plan your salon services in advance. You should have your hair cut/colored 3 months prior to your wedding,, then again in 6 weeks for a touch-up, and one last touch-up about a week before your wedding. This gives you ample visits with your stylist to be sure hair is healthy, that you?re using the right products & tools (or laying off the flat-iron to restore healthy hair), and that you?ll have salon looking results on your wedding day. Note - men should have hair cut about 5 to 7 days prior to the wedding - not the day before.

4. Avoid last minute decisions such as dramatic color changes, cutting bangs, or changing stylists. This can be absolutely dreadful for anyone ? especially a bride-to-be if there are any hair mishaps leading up to your wedding day.

5. Finally, always pre-book your next appointment prior to leaving the salon. This way, you?ll secure your preferred appointment times in advance, you?ll know that you?re working with your hairstylist (and not a substitute), and you?ll find security in knowing you?ll leave the salon with a cut or color that you want.
