podcast about mean things comedians do to each other

Most comedians are very nice and helpful to each other, but once in a while you come across one that isn't. In her podcast this week, comedian and keynote speaker Jan McInnis mentions several of the stunts that comics pull on each other.

"A few comics think that in order to be a better comic, you have to make the other comics look worse, and that's just not so," McInnis says.

She notes that some things, such as arriving late, may not look like sabotaging the other comics on the outside, but that's just what they're doing, and they're doing it purposefully.  The benefits to the offending comic from some of these shenanigans can be huge; everything from getting a better slot on the show to having the other comedian look like a jerk.

McInnis's podcast is produced every Thursday and is titled Comedian Stories: Tales From the Road in Under 5 Minutes.
