Good Authoring Day to YOU …
I enjoyed speaking to a room packed with students wanting to know about publishing options on Wednesday at Metropolitan State University. A fun and fast hour, for sure.
The FINAL second Saturday AuthorYOU Salons of the year is December 14—last month, 20 awesome authors packed my front room. It starts at 8.30 a.m., ending at 11.30 a.m.
The weather birdies are promising more cold weather and a tad of snow. It reminds me of when I was in Alaska for three weeks. The women have quite an array of fleece vests that are a part of their everyday wardrobes. Keeps them warm all the time. Mine now number 10!
Invites are being pushed out for my annual Author Fall Tea. The big day is Saturday, November 23rd (and for football fans—the Broncos aren’t playing). It’s at my home from 1-4. Always fun … lots of food … meet and greet local authors … get books for the best of the best gifts. Come … and bring friends!
And, the next day, November 24th—it’s a Book Brunch Celebration. My dear friend Mara Purl will debut the third book in her “heart” series: Why Hearts Keep Secrets AND I will officially launch my memoir, When God Says NO-Revealing the YES When Adversity and Loss Are Present, a book from my heart. And the menu? Why heart waffles, thick bacon, delicious quiches, fruit and cranmosas. It’s happening from 10 to noon. You must RSVP to me if you want to participate.
And now I’m thinking—just how much Christmas stuff will I haul out this year? I have just five days to do it all in before I head to Palm Springs for two presentations, then to Arizona. The year is coming into a fast close. Where, oh where, has it gone.
Already thinking—do I start putting holiday lights up? I know this month is going to flow fast. Hmmmmm?
