It’s the season of Retro Chic.

In celebration of Georgetown Flee Market’s 50th year, our May 2022 cover story features an interview with the its founder, Michael Sussman, who launched the market in 1973. For the past half-century, Georgetowners and visitors have all known it’s the must-visit spot to shop and browse outdoors — especially for “Retro Chic” fashions — every Sunday from 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.?in the Hardy Middle School parking lot across from Safeway on Wisconsin Avenue NW.

The Georgetowner also hosted a celebratory fashion photo-shoot with noted photographer @Tony Powell and several stunning models (wearing some higher-end “Retro Chic” designs from Oscar De La Renta, Veronica Beard, and Mercedes Vintage).
