Someone recently asked me what we’ve learned about podcasting because as of the time I’m recording this, we’ve been doing it for over six years, every week, sometimes more than every week. Having an interview or a conversation with a leadership expert or an expert leader every week. So what have we learned about podcasting?

One of the things we’ve learned is about the power of consistency. It’s also true for this video, which also happens to be on the podcast. 452 consecutive weeks of doing this. But you see, the power of consistency isn’t just about creating content. That’s just a current example for us. It also applies to us becoming a better leader, a better parent, a better cook, a better golfer, or a better human being.

You see, the power of consistency comes to us when we keep moving. In Finding Nemo, the little fish Dory says, Just keep swimming. We’ve got to keep on moving. Even if we don’t know if it’s working, even we don’t know if we’re good at it yet, even if we’re not sure how it’s going. Just keep moving. Which means we’ve got to just keep trying.

It doesn’t have to be perfect. Trust me, you go back to our first podcast or our first Remarkable TV. It wasn’t anywhere near where it is now. Is it perfect now? Of course not. But if we keep trying, the best way to get better is to keep moving and keep trying and do it consistently. Keep watching below for even more about the power of consistency.
