TV One isgearing up for its most epic night of programming slated for this Sunday night.The network will kickoff a special episode of its hit autobiographicalseries UNCENSORED featuring the laterapper DMX in his final interview on Sunday,May 16 at 8 p.m. ET/7C, followedby the annual URBAN ONE HONORS hosted by EricaCampbell and Roland Martin at 9 p.m.ET/8C. Following the network's spectacular night of programming, UNCENSOREDSPECIAL: DMX THE ICON, will air on Monday, May 17th at10/9c on TV One.

Reared in Yonkers, NewYork, by his mother, DMX was considered a “problem” as early as kindergarten. Atumultuous relationship with his mother caused him to bounce between boys’homes and eventually detention centers. However, battle rapping solidified hislove for the art, and his first break was a feature in The Source Magazine’sUnsigned Hype column in 1991. In 1992, he was signed to Ruffhouse Records. Hisdebut album, It’s Dark, and Hell is Hot, didn’t arrive until 1998,but it peaked at No.1 on the Billboard 200. He quickly followed up with hissecond album, Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood, makinghim the first living artist torelease two chart-topping albums in the same year. He eventually released six morestudio albums, with three more reaching No. 1 and one reaching No. 2. Hissuccess in music primed him for acting. He starred in Hype Williams’ hip hopclassic Belly and followed that success with roles in RomeoMust Die and Exit Wounds.
The hit autobiographicalseries UNCENSORED explores the lives of popular personalitiesas they provide first-hand accounts of their success and the obstacles theyfaced throughout their careers. Sunday night's episode featuring DMX willhighlight the rapper in his own words as he discusses his more than 30-yearcareer and legacy in hip hop.

Themayors include Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles, Washington,D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, and AtlantaMayor Keisha Lance Bottoms. Additionally, “Sisters in Sororities” willfeature the work of the four sororities of the Divine Nine led by PresidentGlenda Baskin Glover (Alpha Kappa Alpha), ?President Beverly E. Smith (Delta Sigma Theta), President Valerie HollingsworthBaker (Zeta Phi Beta) and President Rasheeda S. Liberty (SigmaGamma Rho) and showcases the importance of sisterhood. It willalso highlight how they are working together to support African Americancollege students who are looking for community as they pursue theireducation. The annual tribute show will also feature chart topping musicand iconic performances by Jazmine Sullivan, Da Brat, Le'Andria Johnsonand Avery Sunshine.
