Denver, CO March 17, 2020 – Judith Briles, the Book Shepherd, has rescheduled her annual Speaking Unplugged Bootcamp from March 27-28 to May 29-30. This decision was made in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. The location will remain the same, at the Embassy Suites at the Hilton Tech Center at 7525 East Hampden Avenue, Denver CO, 80231, and the activities involved have largely remained the same.
"We want all our participants to come to the Unplugged in Colorado and feel safe," Dr Briles stated. "That is why we moved our date to later in May."
The Speaking Unplugged Bootcamp has been organized every year to feature activities, tips, and tricks for authors to help with their public speaking skills. From how to build a portfolio of main topics, how to structure a speech, and how to keep the audience engaged, the intensive covered every aspect to building a successful speaking platform for various authors. There will also be sessions focused on the pitfalls and blunders of public speaking and how to avoid them, along with how to bounce back from an unsuccessful speaking engagement.
The event will also dive into the business side of speaking engagements, from contracts to setting fees. Everyone registered will also be "hot-seated" to work on part of their presentation.
