SmithGifford adds Kristie Pope as creative director.  A graduate of the University of Maryland and VCU Brandcenter, she will be spearheading several agency initiatives, including an upcoming campaign with United Way of the National Capital Area, as well as an update to the agency’s branding.

“I come to SG with years of advertising, design and marketing experience. But more importantly I bring a passion for revolutions and giving voice to the ignored and misrepresented. The ad industry as we once knew it, is in need of massive change. The SmithGifford team offers courage, heart and opportunity. I am excited to be joining a talented team of people who can continue to disrupt in the name of great work and have fun while doing it,” Pope said.

Having worked with clients such as AOL, the Embassy of Japan, FEMA, USAID and The Washington Post, her “experience and talent have already made her an asset to our team,” says an release from the agency, which is based in Falls Church, VA.
