Recently, my client had an interview disguised as a dinner with the CEO. The client had recently been though coaching. He read his data and report before the dinner in preparation for the conversation.
When the CEO asked my client about his weaknesses, he was prepared. My client reported his response:
“In the past, I went straight to the meat and forget about the side dishes! Knowing this, I’m working on being more inclusive of other opinions in a very focused manner, and the current feedback is that this has improved significantly.”
The CEO said, “Wow, I can see it, and I respect your honesty.” Our client’s promotion to COO will be officially named next week!
