Anyone needing to vouch for someone else can make use of the new character reference letters at the website CharacterReferenceLetters.com.
"I've just added 20 new sample letters and there are now 248 letters at the site," said Kevin Savetz, creator of CharacterReferenceLetters.com and more than 100 other FreePrintable.net sites. "There are letters for business as well as personal matters. Download, customize and print any letter for free."
In addition to sample letters, the site has several articles with tips asking for or writing a reference letter.
There are letter templates for situations ranging from employment and education to court proceedings.
The new letters include templates with wording recommending: a lawyer, a law clerk and a contract worker. Other letters relate to law school, school awards and a high school job.
A few letters are intended to be from the perspective of a sister, brother or parent. One letter speaks of positive attributes of someone struggling with drug addiction while another letter simply addresses "good moral character." CharacterReferenceLetters.com also has letters relating to foster care, adoption, immigration, probation and parole.
The site also has several new testimonial templates. In general, these are briefer than letters and formatted so that the notes are easy to share with clients of: a surgeon, a music teacher, a child therapist, a handyman (or woman) and a roofer.
Any letter can be downloaded instantly in DOC format for editing in Microsoft Word or another compatible program. Or, users can simply cut and paste the text directly from the site.
Some of the letters complement the resume templates and cover letters at InstantResumeTemplates.com and CoverLetterExamples.net.
"The templates CharacterReferenceLetters.com are perfect any time you're struggling to find the right words to recommend someone," Savetz said.
There are more than 100 sites in the FreePrintable.net family of free printables sites created by Savetz Publishing, Inc., a company devoted to creating useful and informative web sites of interest to consumers and small businesses.
