Sage Communications, a public sector marketing and public relations agency in the Washington, D.C. metro region, acquired Virtual Marketing, LLC, a boutique agency specializing in marketing expertise to the government for technology and professional services clients with a special emphasis on channel marketing initiatives. According to a release, the move marks “a strategic investment in support of the company’s long-term growth goals and elevates the capabilities and services the company provides to its public sector clientele with traditional marketing, analytics, research and innovative proprietary tools.

The release also stated that upon finalizing the agreement, “Virtual Marketing will operate as a Division of Sage Communications. The Division will continue to operate under the leadership of Virtual Marketing’s Founder and President Lou Anne Brossman. Virtual Marketing’s Stephanie Geiger, Vice President of Operations and Marketing Coordinator, Lindsay Robb will also join the Sage Communications team.”
Government Marketing University (GMarkU), which is associated with Virtual Marketing, will remain independent outside of this acquisition.
