If you want to prove a point, apply “social proof.” While this can comprise testimonials from others, it’s best to use contemporary (or even historical) examples.
For example (!) I don’t believe that reputation alone is sufficient for the perpetuation of an enterprise. If you don’t believe that, then we’d all still be shopping at Sears Roebuck today. Instead we’re shopping at Amazon which continued to innovate and interacts with us daily. (Don’t forget, Amazon started as a book distribution network.)
