Many computer users prefer free, open-source word processing programs to commercial programs such as Microsoft Word. That desire is behind the creation of printables websites OpenOfficeTemplates.com and LibreOfficeTemplates.net. Recent additions to both sites mean hundreds of new free Open Office and Libre Office forms, charts and other items.
"Everything at OpenOfficeTemplates.com and LibreOfficeTemplates.net is free and each template can be downloaded instantly in .ODT and .ODS format rather than as DOC files," explained Kevin Savetz, the sites' creator. "These free printables are composed of favorites from my various FreePrintable.net sites."
The new additions include family trees, medical business forms, letterhead templates, flyers and more. There are 2019 and 2020 calendars, menu planners, to-do lists, journals, flyers, stationery, fax cover sheets, resume templates, certificates and specialty grocery lists. The new medical and business forms at OpenOfficeTemplates.com and LibreOfficeTemplates.net consist of a medical discharge form, a restroom cleaning tracker and a job assessment. The sites also have planners, checklists, invoices and business cards.
OpenOfficeTemplates.com and LibreOfficeTemplates.net each has around 300 templates.
"I'm pleased to offer these sites for cases when DOC files just don't fit the bill," Savetz said. "The free templates at OpenOfficeTemplates.com and LibreOfficeTemplates.net will open correctly in those two programs, whereas DOC files often don't."
There are more than 100 sites in the FreePrintable.net family of free printables sites created by Savetz Publishing, Inc., a company devoted to creating useful and informative web sites of interest to consumers and small businesses.
