More than a dozen new cover letters, plus articles with tips on how to use them, have been added to the website CoverLetterExamples.net.
"This site has a wide selection of sample cover letters for job-seekers, and they complement the templates at my resume site, InstantResumeTemplates.com," said Kevin Savetz, the sites' creator. "However, CoverLetterExamples.net isn't limited to career matters. There are letters designs for all kinds of business, legal and personal situations."
The sample cover letters show how a potential employee can best highlight skills, career achievements and other attributes. CoverLetterExamples.net has templates targeting specific industries as well as more general letters and letters for special circumstances. The new additions include a cover letter for an overqualified applicant, a "job-hopping" letter, a letter to accompany an application for a senior position opening, and two letters addressing diversity.
Other new letters cover: submitting a manuscript for publication, immigration, home purchases, rental applications and adoption.
The site also has nine new articles about how to write various types of cover letters and tailoring the sample letters to specific situations.
"These letters provide a great starting point, and users can type into the template, customizing the wording to suit their situation," Savetz said.
All of the letters at CoverLetterExamples.net are free to download and print in DOC format. Or, users can simply cut and paste the text directly from the site.
There are 100 sites in the FreePrintable.net family of free printables sites created by Savetz Publishing, Inc., a company devoted to creating useful and informative web sites of interest to consumers and small businesses.
