"Why You Really Hurt: It All Starts In The Foot"

Dr. Burton S. Schuler  Podiatrist  of  Panama City, Panama City Beach, Fl.  Fl published a book in  April  2009  about  a  medical/foot  problem known as the Morton's Toe. The name of the book  is  "Why You Really Hurt: It All Starts In The Foot" .  During the past six and a half years   dozens and dozens of people have bought the book, and have  left unsolicited reviews and comments on the Amazon website  attesting to  how the book has changed their life;  by getting them out of foot pain when everything else has failed. According to Cardinal Publishing Group of Indianapolis Ind. the books international distributor  the book has sold over 8,000 paper backs and thousands of Kindles. According to Tom Doherty president of Cardinal "this is one of those rare books that should sell forever because more and more of the public is just discovering it"

But here is a recent unsolicited review of "Why You Really Hurt: It All Starts In The Foot"

Wow - I can't believe it. I just got this book and I'm dumbfounded. I just had my best "foot" day in two years plus. I've seen two podiatrists with the usual cortisone shots and orthoses in excess of $700 with no relief. They both suspected neuromas but one thought it may be something else as well. I tried a Chiro who left me hobbling all weekend. I tried a foot reflexologies', more pain. Things just kept getting worse. I was resigned that chronic pain was my fate. I tried Dr. Schuler's simple suggestion and I felt so much better. I couldn't believe the difference. Last night I tried one layer and noticed it helped. This morning I doubled up the pads and the relief was pretty much immediate. I taped up the bottom of my feet pretty well and the pads stayed on during a pilates reformer class. I'll give an update since I've only been trying the pads for 1-1/2 days but just felt I had to write a review. I hope other people come across this book like I did. I've read/perused four or five. I didn't realize how my feet were affecting my mood and general outlook although I've been feeling miserable. I have written a few good reviews on metatarsal support pads and they did help me but not like this. I don't really have classic Morton's toe symptoms - meaning, my second toes are a trace smaller than my big toes - so don't get discouraged if you think this won't work for you. I would just suggest that if you have or suspect neuromas don't tape you toes up so much that your squishing them as if you're shoes are too tight. I used your basic waterproof first aid tape and it worked very well. Be nice to your feet and toes - "you don't know what you've got till it's gone" (Joni Mitchell).
