The term "slow pay" in comedy is a nicer way of saying that you're not getting paid on time. In her podcast this week, comedian and keynote speaker Jan McInnis talks about a time in which she was ALMOST slow paid, and the unique way she ensured payment.

"When I was working comedy clubs and bar gigs, much of the comedy business was done on the spot, in cash, which meant that comedians could be a little vulnerable when it comes to payment," McInnis points out. 

McInnis's podcast is titled Comedian Stories, and it airs every Thursday wherever you listen to podcasts.
