Plymouth Activities Thanksgiving

There are 2 events that help us understand more about this important place in American history.

At 10 a.m., witness a reenactment of the Pilgrims' march to their original church site followed by a short worship service. This annual procession, called Pilgrim Progress, begins at the Mayflower Society House at the foot of North Street. Costumed participants represent the 51 Pilgrim survivors of the first, harsh winter of 1620/1621.

12 Noon – National Day of Mourning Ceremony participants will honor Native ancestors and their struggles. Since 1970, Native Americans and their supporters have gathered as a reminder of the genocide of millions of Native people, the theft of Native lands, and the relentless assault on Native culture. Participants in National Day of Mourning honor Native ancestors and the struggles of Native peoples to survive today.

Witness or join the ceremony at the Massasoit Statue on Cole's Hill (Water Street, across the Street from Plymouth Rock).
