Bark in the Park

On Saturday, May 5th, Nelson Park will host Plymouth's annual Bark in the Park Festival. Set up by the Chamber of Commerce, all dogs of any shape and size are welcome. Adoptable dogs, local rescue groups, and non-profit pet-awareness groups will be featured at the Bark in the Park Festival. For the dog owners, entertainment, crafts, vendors, and food will be available.

The festival runs from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Beginning at 12:00 p.m. and concluding at 1:30, there will be a Blessing of the Animals Ceremony. From 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the Manomet Animal Hospital will be conducting a rabies clinic. It is $10 per dog. If owners would like a 3 year rabies certificate, then they must bring proof of any current and prior rabies vaccination, as required by state law. A rabies tag is not considered proof.

All dogs must be friendly towards children, adults, and other dogs. Only only dog is allowed per handler. Dog owners and handlers will be responsible for picking up and disposing of their dog's waste. The Chamber of Commerce will not be responsible for any injuries a person and/or a dog may receive. Organizers of the Bark in the Park Festival reserve the right to evict any dog and its owner/handler from the event if necessary.
