Patriot Strategies has signed on to provide crisis and targeted communications, strategic planning and PR services to the Embassy of Peru.

The DC-based firm will represent Peru on matters before the US Congress, White House, academic institutions, NGOs, think tanks, business community and the media, according to its contract.

The one-month pact kicked off March 1 and calls for a $40K flat fee. The contract shall be renewed depending upon Patriot’s performance.

George Seymore, Patriot CEO; Stephen Hofmann, EVP; and senior advisors Art Estopinan and Marc Wachtenheim manage the Peruvian work.

Peru has been in the news due to an outbreak of avian flu that has killed more than 100K sea lions along its 1,850-mile Pacific coastline.

A powerful earthquake on March 18 rocked northern Peru and southern Ecuador. It killed 13 people in Ecuador and a four-year-old girl in Peru.
