Two decades ago, in the bustling world of business, I found myself navigating the complexities of executive consulting. As I connected with leaders, I realized a significant gap in how they searched for and secured expertise. It sparked a vision that led to the creation of LinktoEXPERT—a platform designed to streamline connections between executives and experts. Below, I share how I turned that vision into reality and how you can apply these lessons to your journey.

Picture this: executives, brimming with ideas and ambitions, struggling to articulate their needs to intermediaries. I observed this firsthand while overseeing client relations at Commanding View. It became evident that while executives knew exactly what their companies needed, the communication chain was not as effective as it should have been. I wanted to fix the loophole.

I envisioned a platform that would transform the tedious process of expert searches—one that could take months—into a matter of minutes. The idea was simple yet powerful: harness technology to empower executives to find the right experts quickly and effectively.

Building the Foundation

With a clear vision in mind, I gathered a team of passionate product developers and web designers. Together, we embarked on a journey to create a user-friendly web portal that would allow executives to access expert profiles with just a few clicks. We brainstormed, collaborated, and fine-tuned our approach, ensuring that the platform would not only meet but exceed the needs of our users.

As we developed LinktoEXPERT, I focused on a key principle: collaboration. I reached out to industry leaders and mentors, seeking their insights and advice. This process of masterminding was invaluable, as it helped refine our platform and align it with the real-world needs of executives.

In September 2010, amidst economic uncertainty, we launched LinktoEXPERT. The timing could not have been better; as companies sought to cut costs, the demand for expert consultations soared. Within a month, our platform was nominated for the Quantum Leap Technology of the Year award, a testament to its innovative approach.
