Los Angeles – Our four-part special feature summary of October 2018 ratings overviews concludes with news/talk.
In order to be included in this analysis, a PPM-market (commercial, English-language) news/talk facility had to chalk up at least a .5 (6+) in the October 2018 ratings period, which covered September 13 – October 10.
Nielsen Audio only releases audience estimates for facilities that subscribe to its services. Owing to that reason, ratings stats in this exclusive overview are limited to stations that pay Nielsen Audio for its data.
Spoiler Alert: It certainly appears that the news/talk format was buoyed in October 2018 by the mid-term elections, as it was difficult to find many commercial news/talkers that weren’t either up or steady (6+) from September 2018.
