FreePrintable.net has released a new website, AsDecimal.com, as a helpful math resource that converts fractions and percentages into a decimal.
"This website is more than just a calculator," said Kevin Savetz, the site's creator. "It features illustrative pie charts and sample problems that can help students recognize patterns and learn how to convert numbers from one format into another."
AsDecimal.com lets users type in any percentage or fraction—this includes percentages with decimal places and fractions with any numerator or denominator. The site will instantly convert it to a number with up to five decimal places. A pie chart is also calculated at the bottom of the page as a helpful visual aid.
There are also hundreds of example problems provided by the site, including percentages with decimal places and a wide range of numerators and denominators.
AsDecimal.com is sister site to AsAPercent.com, which allows users to convert fractions and decimals into percentages, AsAFraction.com, which converts percentages and decimals into fractions, and SimplifyFractions.com, reduces fractions to their simplest forms.
