Nonograms and Sudoku comprise the fun, challenging printable puzzles at the website PrintPuzzles.net, launched this week as part of the FreePrintable.net family of sites.
"These nonograms and Sudoku puzzles will challenge your mind and occupy your spare moments," said Kevin Savetz, the site's creator. "Expert solvers as well as those new to these puzzles will be happy to hear that there's a range of skill levels covered at PrintPuzzles.net, from easy Sudoku to large nonogram puzzles."
Each of the 417 puzzles at the site is free to download and print one at a time, but there's also the option to buy entire downloadable puzzle books with these and even more puzzles. These digital books, $9.99 apiece, are sorted by difficulty, or users can choose a variety of skill levels in one collection. Each Sudoku or Nonogram puzzle book contains hundreds of puzzles, and it downloads instantly so the user can print any pages they choose from their computer.
Most people have heard of Sudoku puzzles, in which a player adds numbers to fill a grid in such a way that each 3-by-3 block or "region" of the multi-celled puzzle contains the digits 1 through 9. PrintPuzzles.net has beginner Sudoku puzzles with quite a few numbers prefilled, but experienced players will want to try their hand at the hard puzzles that have fewer numbers provided at the start.
Nonograms are logic puzzles that are just as enjoyable as Sudoku. The rules are slightly more complicated, but PrintPuzzles.net provides a handy, free nonogram guide on how to solve this type of puzzle. The trick is to use basic math skills to gray out specific squares on a grid until the puzzle is solved and a pattern is revealed.
PrintPuzzles.net joins dozens of other fun and useful FreePrintable.net sites, including PrintablePaper.net with its printable paper, TeachersPrintables.net with classroom printables and FreeWordSearch.net with word search puzzles and a free puzzle maker.
"While puzzle fans are welcome to download and print any of the free puzzles at PrintPuzzles.net, I highly recommend purchasing the puzzle books. Each has more than 500 puzzles in one convenient download," Savetz said. "Have fun!"
There are more than 100 sites in the FreePrintable.net family of free printables sites created by Savetz Publishing, Inc., a company devoted to creating useful and informative web sites of interest to consumers and small businesses.
