North Las Vegas is looking for a firm to run a recruitment campaign to fill 150 open slots in the police department over the next 18 to 24 months.
The selected partner will create a strategic communications and advertising program segmented at new recruits, lateral transfers and specialized audiences, according to the RFP.
The effort will focus on all genders aged 21 to 45 years of age, military/border patrol officers, college students, and members of the Hispanic and Black communities.
The NLVPD also wants to bolster the number of female recruits to 30 percent by 2030.
The RFP suggests potential messaging: “high starting salary with generous benefits package,” “opportunities for growth and advancement,” “intangible benefits of the job, such as purpose, identity and service/community,” and “valued like a family member, not just a badge number.”
Proposals are due April 3 at Nevada’s electronic portal.
