The last two years have been a wild, scary and sometimes exhilarating ride for many in our industry. Having attended several in-person shows and events this fall, I am bullish on a healthy return for events and the people who run and support them. I am also excited to kick-start 2022 by attending PCMA’s Convening Leaders (CL) in Las Vegas in January, fully vaccinated and masked up.
I’ve been an active volunteer and engaged CL participant for many years and it’s always been a great way to start a new year. I missed seeing my friends and clients and the energy of the in-person event last year. So, when PCMA asked me what I was looking forward to at CL2022, I jumped at the opportunity to share.

What I’m Looking Forward to Most

First and foremost, I am excited to see my friends and colleagues. I have spent my entire career in the events industry and PCMA is my professional “home.” So for me, it’s simple. I want to see the people I’ve worked alongside and who have become good friends. We have a decades-long tradition of a “family” dinner each year at CL that is, for me, the highlight of the event.
Secondly, I am eager to see our clients outside of Zoom. We work with lots of incredible professionals in a wide variety of associations and I love bringing them together face-to-face. Going to sessions and learning together is another key feature for me.
Thirdly, I am thrilled with the keynoter line up and think PCMA sets the standard for general sessions with great thought leaders, entertainment and high production value. I am always inspired by the general sessions at CL and can’t wait to be surprised, entertained and motivated at those sessions (plus Dan Levy J).
Finally, I know that PCMA CL will help restore my energy, and make me be a better leader, partner, advisor and person. I have high expectations for the program and the quality and variety of sessions as always. But mostly I am excited to reunite, to learn and have some fun! Hope to see you there.
What are you looking forward to most?
