My Experience Is Different From Yours
When people write you about something you’ve written or said and begin with, “You’re wrong about….” simply disregard them. They’re operating from moral narcissism. The debate won’t be worth it. Some idiot just wrote me to tell me I’m wrong about people wearing masks because Covid is a government/big business conspiracy and, of course, his email was laced with obscenities. No intellect, no vocabulary.
When they begin, “I have a different understanding or experience with….” listen to them. They’re about to relate facts and experiences and observations that may help you change your position.
Reverse all that if you want to change someone else’s mind.
