Monday Memo: Carpe Trump. Consultant Holland Cooke writes in his weekly Monday Memo for TALKERS magazine that conservative news/talk stations should be working overtime to capitalize on the Trump presidency. Cooke references a recent column in The New York Times by Frank Bruni in which he observes the president is covered by the media as “spectacle." and that makes Trump the “star." no matter what. Cooke reasons that since the best way to increase ratings share with news/talk radio is to increase the TSL of its P1s, stations should “be to radio what Fox News Channel is to TV." – a safe space for like-minded conservatives.
