  Two well-meaning, but meddlingmoms hatch a plot to reunite their children, who were childhood friends andhigh school sweethearts, in the delightful, holiday romcom Merry& Gay, from A Baker Production.

     Starring DiaFrampton (I Hate New Years; runner up in the inaugural season of The Voice andlead singer of the band Meg & Dia) and AndiRené Christensen (Bel-Air, Hacks), Merry & Gay premieres on VOD Dec. 1on DivaBoxOffice.tv, the newly launched LGBTQI+network, dedicated to telling stories featuring and about the lesbian/queercommunity and women loving women.

     Christensen isthe first non-binary actor to star in a lead role in a holiday romcom. The filmalso stars Stella Parton (Nothing is Impossible, DollyParton's Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love, Dolly Parton'sCoat of Many Colors), HayatNesheiwat, Janet Ivey (The Least of These: A ChristmasStory, Nashville), Jon Lee (Fear theWalking Dead: Farley, Lovecraft Country) and SarahDaddario.

     The DIVABoxOffice.tv network,which premiered Dec. 1, is a partnership between A BakerProduction and DIVA magazine, the world's leading magazine for LGBTQI+ womenand non-binary people. The film is the fourth holiday romcom from veteran writer/producer/director ChristinBaker, known for critically acclaimed, queer feature films (Christmasat the Ranch, I Hate New Years, Season of Love) andseries (Emmy-nominated Secs andEXECS and Riley Parra) withpowerful, original soundtracks.

     Showcasing an upbeat, holiday-inspiredsoundtrack, Merry & Gay features all originalmusic, including songs by Frampton, Rachel Dye and composer Everett Young. 

       In Merry& Gay …

    When Becca Winters (Dia Frampton) finishes her runstarring in a popular Broadway musical, she decides to leave New York City tospend the holidays with family and friends in her charming hometown inEvergreen, Tennessee, to direct the sleepy town’s annual Christmas pageant.

    Ecstatic, herwell-meaning, but meddling mother, Tilly (Hayat Nesheiwat), and her bestfriend, Lucille Sheridan (Janet Ivey), hatch a plan to reunite Becca andLucille’s kid Sam (Andi René Christensen), who were childhood pals andhigh school sweethearts.

   The only one notthrilled is Sam who was hurt when Becca left them behind three years ago topursue her career and who has since carved out a peaceful life for themself asthe bartender at the family’s bar, Sheridan’s ... but eventually Sam warms upto the idea and the reunion is sweet.

   But when Becca’smanager, Charlotte Reese (Sarah Daddario), comes to town with an offerfrom Hollywood, Sam abruptly breaks off the relationship once again... Will Christmas be Merry & Gay after all?
