A new and improved version of the nation's leading online directory enabling consumers to connect with local Medicare Supplement insurance agents is being relaunched by the American Association for Medicare Supplement Insurance.

"Nearly 30,000 consumers have used our directory of agents, the largest independent resource for finding agents who specialize in Medicare solutions," explains declares Jesse Slome, director of the American Association for Medicare Supplement Insurance.  "Following this year's Medicare Open Enrollment period, we decided to make enhancements based on both consumer and agent input."

The new directory will allow consumers to enter their Zip Code to retrieve a listing of agents based on proximity.  "Our prior system listed all agents within a state which became cumbersome for larger states like Florida and California," Slome shares.  "The new system will be far easier for consumers to use."

Insurance agents who offer Medicare supplement as well as other Medicare products will be able to list themselves on the directory.    "There will be a nominal charge that will support our continuing consumer advocacy and education efforts," Slome says.  "We also invest significantly in insurance agent education conducting free Medicare Supplement conferences for agents and offering an extensive library of filmed workshops that are all available at no charge."
