Medicare Supplement Conference

The nation's leading Medicare Supplement insurance professionals predict a strong year of growth according to a survey just released by the American Association for Medicare Supplement Insurance.  The organization surveyed 650 professionals registered to attend the national Medigap insurance industry's annual conference that takes place next month in Atlanta.

"For the past two years, the number of Americans with Medicare Supplement insurance has increased by roughly 3.75 percent annually," states Jesse Slome, director of the Association.   The organization polled registrants attending the Association's national Medicare Supplement industry conference.  Over 150 completed the survey questions.

The Association director notes that some 14 million Americans had Medigap insurance in 2018.  Some 77.1 percent of the survey participants expect 2019 to conclude with a 2.1 percent or greater increase in the number of Americans with a Medicare Supplement insurance policy.  "An increase greater than six percent is expected by 12.1 percent of the survey respondents, an extremely positive outlook," Slome notes.

The complete findings of the survey will be revealed at the conference taking place June 5-7 at the Marriott Marquis hotel in Atlanta.  Over 1,000 leading industry professionals attend the annual event with representatives of most insurance companies that offer Medigap insurance having a presence.
