The final opportunity to take advantage of Medicare's Annual Open Enrollment period is imminent according the American Association for Medicare Supplement Insurance.

"We've reached the finale of Medicare's annual open enrollment the last chance for millions of seniors to get information and make decisions regarding their 2019 coverage," announced Jesse Slome, director of the American Association for Medicare Supplement Insurance (AAMSI).  The organization makes available the leading online directory of local Medicare insurance agents ready to educate and assist interested consumers.

Open enrollment that began in October concludes on Friday, December 7th.  "The final week is typically the busiest for insurance agents listed on the Association's directory and there are only so many hours in a day," Slome advises.   Access to the directory is free and anonymous for consumers seeking contact information for local insurance agents who focus on Medicare options.

"Deadlines are deadlines and so we urge all seniors to act now to evaluate whether the Medicare coverage they have is the best one going forward," Slome shared.  "The curtain is going down on this year's opportunity to act."   According to AAMSI, the Association's Find A Medicare Insurance Agent Directory is prepared to handle the anticipated additional inquiries.

"Individuals in a Medicare health or Medicare prescription drug plan should always review the materials their plans send them," Slome recommends.  "They will have received information such as the "Evidence of Coverage" (EOC) and "Annual Notice of Change" (ANOC)" he adds.  "If your plans are changing, make sure the plans will still meet needs for the following year."
