MUSIC LOVERS AROUND THE WORLD- Make a Joyful Noise Challenge launched! 

This is a call for singing and sharing William Elliott's Classic Carol, "All Hearts are Home for Christmas" in our "Social Media Share your Skills in Song" challenge, to build interest in Science, Music, Math and more for the next 369 days! 

WHY: Your simple act of making a joyful noise will build interest in the music that will underwrite children's arts and music activities and instruction in classrooms and in  after school formal and informal settings. It will spur excitement about learning in neighborhoods and lives. NOTE: Proceeds from this song support enrichment programs that protect people, trees, and wildlife through STEAM and citizen science activities.

We've discovered a riverbank at Common Ground NI.org that envisions the first chapter of Kenneth Grahame's book, THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS. With its marvelous meadow and field of newly planted 4000 baby trees, you can picture the choir of field mice on the farm in Ulster singing to the musical adaptation of the story. This has now sparked discussions for collaborations in the UK, NI, Scotland, IE, with GLOBE.gov classrooms becoming inspired with new ways to become inclusive of Nature. This carol is a catalyst for engaging students to start a worldwide "Singing Riverbank Band Brigade". By bringing this song to others here and in Northern Ireland, it spurs new ideas for project- based instruction, and encourages the use of IT to teachers and students as they use new tools to sing and share their work with the world.
